hard to say ,jack or heath,but,in my opinion,jack was great,but he seemed like he 'played 'the joker,ledger'became' the joker,jack played the psychopath so well,it was a natural for him to be the joker.if you look at ledgers body of work,you wouldnt envision him as the joker,but he absolutely hit it out of the park,it was a mesmerizing performance

You're wrong my friend. Heath's performance IS Oscar worthy.Even if he wouldn't have died, Heath did a brilliant job in depicting the DC Comic Joker. Jack Nicholson's Joker was more cheerfull because it was a different type of comic in which thats the way the Joker was in Marvel Comics. In DC Comics, however, all the characters are darker and have more mental problems.So, you are wrong because Heath Ledger played the Joker perfectly, DC Comic wise. You can't compare 2 completely different Jokers

You know what is Amazing about this. Before The Dark Knight came out and they were talking about having Heath Ledger as the Joker, I was like "What?", but after seeing him in the Movie I was like "What!". By the way I Love Jack Nicholson, but Jack is like an A and Heath is like an A++ in another League of his own. My only problem with Jack now after looking back is he sounds too much like himself. Yes, Oscar Worthy Performance for Heath Ledger!!

Heath is an an Excellent Joker,.equal+ to Jack, but definatly not as campy. Different Joker 100%

I thought the movie was AMAZING! The Joker is totally my favorite villain now! Heath did an amazing job pulling off this incredible character! He definitely deserves not only to be nominated but to win an Oscar for this! Yeah Jack did a great job, and they are kinda different Jokers, but personally Heath just perfected the part! I'm a huge Batman fan and LOVED this movie and cast so much! My only disappointment is that it wasn't long enough to fit more Joker, Batman and Harvey scenes.

OKAY!! i just saw the film! EPIC! i loved it! they put a really cool edge on the character. scary with his knifes-kinda reminded me of that whole robocop gun car chases and blade fighting clockwork orange type thing! it was fantastic :D

i havent seen this film yet-i saw the original. tim burtons one of my favorite directors and danny elfmans one of my favorite composers and jacks one of my favorite actors so its quite a winning combo there. id still be intrested in seeing this film though! sounds cool! by saying its more deep, do they mean darker and more gothic i wonder XD i love dark creepy and gothic! beautiful in film

I agree with that one guy, both Jokers were from different eras. Jack's was more traditional, and Heath's more modern. Both great and classic preformances by two amzing actors, but overall I gotta hand it Ledger. Ledger's was without a doubt in my mind the best on-screen villain ever. Jack gets a 99, and Heath 102. Good job with the interview by the way.
