This little video shows how the creators of RKS were influenced by Megaman games.
It is pretty obvious when you compare certain screens or enemy designs or features of both games.
So here you can see 40 references I found. If you know any more, let me know and I will include them. Enjoy.

Music:

  • good, now castlevania references!!!

  • I didn't play any castlevania games :) so someone else gotta figure those out...

  • - The comparison at 3:02 is quite a stretch.

    - You left out Lilli's Item, which is one of the most obvious.

    - Trauare's attack pattern is similar to Air Man's and exhibits the same weakness.

Among others. Also, the titles of the songs are both incorrect.

  • - not all references are that obvious, you know?

    - because Lily is an obvious reference I intended to leave her out

    - thats correct, nice find.

And the titles of the Music are completely correct, please check the official soundtrack again.

  • The second song, the title screen theme, is "AM Fight No. 1" by the music artist AM3, who also did various other themes in the game, such as the boss music (simply titled "03" on his website), Liebea's stage (titled "30"), and Freudia's theme (titled "22").

  • Please refer to Rockman Perfect Memories (RockmanPM) for the official soundtrack. It has german titles for the tracks which is pretty RKS like and thus I take it as the official one.

  • i literally cannot believe how many things this game has got away with, i mean it looks like a fab game but come on, megaman is a pioneer of gaming. i can only asume that the guys who made the game are capcom who invented megaman or another company who created the game as a tribute to megaman, because there is no way the could get away with everthing without burying themselves legally ha

  • It's really sad that some desighers don't have a brain to come up with their own ideas. This is Megaman Castlevania.

  • What I don't get is if it's Japanese, why is most of those names and words German.

  • WHERE CAN I BUY THIS GAME????

  • @Camposkpo Yeah, agreed.

Mega Mari is a parody of Mega Man, just like Mega Mari was before it, so it's kinda... no, wait, absolutely obvious that almost everything is going to be Mega Man here and Mega Man there.

  • @SpiralPegasus Even the music... what is not a Megaman theme, comes always from some Megaman hack LOL

  • @metalgearhunterZ Should try Megaman instead... it's a lot more complex. That game is aufully easy.

  • References? The games is a Megaman Parody lol

  • I'd Play RosenKreuzstilette any day before I play Megaman... sorry though.
