A great answer to those opera puesdo-intellectuals who still claim that Puccini could only peddle nice tunes. Very beautiful.

Splendido. La stessa melodia Puccini l'ha utilizzata poi per la breve scenetta pastorale in Manon Lescaut, Atto II.

Michel Corboz's work is always magnificent. Having the name Corboz on a production is like sterling on silver. Listening to his work with the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne is an experience beyond words.

@Hofsteder I can't make head or tail of the point you are trying to make and I'm sure you didn't really understand mine. Puccini has always been criticised because he didn't have the 'gravity' of other well-known opera composers, but his opera is some of the greatest music expressing human emotion ever written and this non-opera piece showed his talent outside opera. That's my point pure and simple. Perhaps you can now strip yours down a bit to see if or not we have an argument here.

Well I suspected those things that seemed mushrooms were not occasional amplifier microphones -- but microphones to record. Are you sure the maestro wasn't Foster? Anyway, what is the year of the recording?
