COLOUR Amber.
BODY Medium and round.
NOSE Good peaty flavour with lemon and sea salt, giving a hebridean complexity.
PALATE Hint's of dark chocolate and pears. Good, smokey sea taste remaining throughout, still with a nice wee touch of heather honey.
FINISH Long and satisfying.
Love this whisky, its my favourite drop or dram as the Scots call it. For me it beats the Ardbeg, which I really enjoy but find it a bit 'medicinal'. Still take a drop of any of the Islay whiskys or the Connemara peated single ,malt. For me the Bowmore is just a pleasure. Good work, hope to get over to visit the distillery some day.
