I was born in El Salvador and lived there fro most of the Civil War period. I did see a lot of stuff like this, but the film presents a very biased picture. They do not show all the atrocities committed by the commies. Yes, the government did commit brutal acts, but the commies also did the same. shame on movie producers who do not tell the truth to the people.
i was born in el salvador during this time, luckily i was young when my parents brought us here. My parents watched it and it reminded them of the past. Its a great movie sad movie but theres a lot of truth in it as well from tthe song the uncle sings to the radio station that chava was listening to with was banned by the salvadorian government
i saw this movie in native speaker spanish class and i loved it. it's so sad. i'm mexican and my aunt's boyfriend is salvadoran so i'm gonna ask him about this movie. everyone should watch it!!!
Looks so sad, don't know if i could watch it. All the war movies dont get to me but when you see innocent children and people who dont want to fight get caught up, its to much
