In unserem gemutlichen Ecke - vintage Hohner

A German folksong played on a vintage (pre-1940) Hohner. I purchased this mint condition Hohner from Accordions Canada. It's LMMM, but I am only using the musette reed selection on this recording. I learned the song from an old LP.

Very nice, Geoff, both in vocals and accordion performance! One senses immediately the charm of this piece, especially when played on a venerable old instrument such as this remarkable Hohner. It seems that the harmonics and resonant qualities of the vintage instruments heighten our awareness of the tender nature of some of these melodies, affecting our sense of the familiar nature of time, circumstance and the sweet disposition incurred by warmth of tone. Like the Stradivarius violin!
