Let's not pretend like the SEC was so great when Lou Holtz was there. Who else was there besides Spurrier & the Gators? Lou's problem was he was at South Carolina. Lou could've been a beast if he coached like Bama.

All that slobbering didnt help much when he was at South Carolina... lol. He found out that coaching in the SEC aint a cake walk. But it was a decent pep talk. Not that LSU needed a pep talk to play Kentucky. ROFL

He isnt great cuz he won the cotton bowl? cotton bowl use to be huge. He shoulda won 2 titles at ND but phantom clipping. everywhere Lou has gone in college he has won. he woulda won about 3-5 more titles at ND if he woulda stayed. and u said there is a reason he isnt coaching anymore implying no one would hire him. there is something called retirement he chose to spend more time with his wife and family.
