HSR in future... but what do u think about that? just trying to get diff idea's and suggestions . thanks... nice car by the way

  • man you're making me miss my camaro

  • is your camera a 92 as well?

  • what exhaust, do u have a cutout ?

  • i hope mine sounds like that im gonna run 3 inch pipe all the way i think or 2 1/2

  • @cagonesss you would be hard pressed to find a good deal on this job. anyone who has a 5 speed trans, has had it rebuilt, if it still works, they will want like 1000 or 1500. a t56 which will bolt on, most of the time, are more, ive heard people tell me that they can be had for 800-1200, but that is never the case. its a lot closer to 2000-2500, plus you need the clutch, flywheel, clutch pedal, and hydraulics system. t56 is a lot heavier though.

  • @camkid1991 the ones with the 5.7l and manual are super rare they only made like 10 or 20 total. those have t56 trans' in them, not t5's. the t5's are too weak to put a 5.7l in front of, but can be rebuilt to handle a litte more but not a whole lot. a mildly built 5.0l motor destroyed mine. im rebuilding it. it needed new first, second, sliding hub, and new bearings. it only have 125000 miles on it and boom.

  • @camkid1991 the only ones that came with a 350 came with a SIX speed T56, those are super rare as they only made like 10 total. the standard line did not offer the 5.7l with a manual. the reason is the t5 WC is only rated at 300ft/lb, the older ones were even worse. a t5 can be rebuilt to handle a little more but not much. im rebuilding the t5 in my 91 RS. even the 5.0l motor destroyed this trans.

  • @camkid1991 Well, I'm pretty sure that all the 350s came with auto trans. The thing I did was get an RS with a manual trans, then drop a 350 in it. It runs good, but it just dosn't feel right when you change gears though.
