This process also works for single break canister shells of all sizes. You may notice that I was able to add a third break to my shell ;)

  • Hmmm, I was under the impression that pasting outside of the spiking was to protect only flowerpotting and to stop hot gases from burning away the spiking string, not to actually boost the break. Did I get bad information?

  • @PyroPortrayal Yes, it does all of the above. Pasting also tightens the spiking as the paste dries.

  • I was surprised when you didn't paste the other side of the paper or break the paper. Maybe I'm doing extra work for nothing. I could never paste shells with that brush and spoon though. That looks incredably slow and tedious. I grab hands full of wheat paste and rub it into the paper with my hands

  • @missouripyro No you're right, pasting both sides is better. I learned to build shells with no instruction from others. I have learned a little more since and now paste both sides.

  • i already know the basics of pyrotechnics, but what are the advantages of canister shells. You seem to make them more often

  • @TheFyroPyro Here's a great example: watch?v=zyiMtGJv5r4
