Hoover's Game Winning Field Goal vs. Camden County (Ga.)

Hoover trailed the Wildcats 14-27 at the half, after dropping many passes, as well as playing lackluster defense. In the 2nd half, the defense stood tall, allowing 1 first down the entire half, and the offense stormed back to tie the game. With 3.1 seconds remaining in the game, sophomore kicker Larsen Real kicked a 33 yard game winning field goal, sending the #40/44 Bucs home with a huge victory, and some sweet revenge.

yeah camden doesn't suck. ya'll were good we were good. and no i dont agree you were better. hoover scored a fieldgoal in the last 3 seconds? u call that "happening to be good" that was just a good kick. u coulda either got it or not. barely. ... im not dissing. ya'll were good. it was a fun game both there in 08 and here in 09.

How can you say we weren't the better team? We came into hostile territory, played one of our worst 1st halves of the year, and got down by 2 scores at halftime. Yet we still put ourselves in a position to win by dominating the 2nd half in all 3 phases of the game. I know you only saw our kicker for that game, but he's been money all year. He had one game where he tried a 67 yarder just for fun and came up short by inches.

But like you said, 2 great games. Congrats to both for state champs.
