i liked the look of the ELGT its the power i am not happy about its should have been closer to 250kw monster not 200kw like the eb gt
-
@vigilante351 yeah, but no doubt about that they would look shit.. unless they got a designer who would make a sedan that looked like the original one..
-
@yeolstrat YES!

The EA GT is at the ford museum in Geelong and its the real thing because its got the red engine bay same paint colour same exhaust tip and the same head rest on the drivers seat as the one they showed in the picture all the key features are there the only thing is that someone stripped the interior out of it. Someone did buy it and tafe students restored it to its former glory.

EA and EB were fuckin ugly designs but the EL was the sexiest model in my opinion
-
The EL GT should have had the XR quad headlights
-

God knows what the designer of the EL GT was smoking at the time or drinking!!!!!!

@GrubcoMedia Yes it's a very nice car, I went to the ford motor museum about 3 years ago in Geelong and saw it ...of course I then had to lean over and actually touch it. It exsists alright and it's blue, looks like Cobalt Blue. Very nice car and from memory only had a drivers seat. Had a little story there somewhere saying it was restored by some ford students/apprentices of some sort then put in the museum.
The EA 351 GT was NOT destroyed....! It was left to rot in a warehouse were in the early 2000's a high school/university and ford restored it. It is on show at the Ford museum in Geelong... It looks quite good actually. The only none original part in the whole car are the seats. someone stole them. They also have a Red XY GT-HO with the number plates XYGTHO - Private owner just on loan to the museum.

I heard a guy (Ford worker) spotted it scheduled to be crushed, and bought it at the last minute - and then restored it.
But either way it's definately still alive; I've seen pictures of it. It was blue last time I saw it.
