I play both LoL and DotA actively and I must say, you can't really compare them since the gameplay is different, for example lv1 fights, stealing buffs, dragon and nashor/roshan, escapethrough trees. It's totally wrong to say that LoL suxx, if you haven't play it. LoL is much easier for beginner to play because of recommended items, a summoner profile where you can read everything about champions and their skills.

Both are very nice games and none of them is bad. Everyone can play what he wants.
