Mother 3: Porky Battle

UPDATE 3/1/2010: Pretty much everyone knows who this boss is by now, so I've changed the title. Also, the accepted name for him has become "Porky", so I've changed that too.

Video of the battle against Porky, which is the next to last boss battle of Mother 3. Party's average level is 64, since this is my first playthrough, so I make short work of him.

Porky hits pretty hard, but my party also hits hard. Lucas (named Will in the video) uses Offense Up [omega] and Boney uses the Shield Stealer in the first round. After that, Lucas uses PK Love [omega] and Kumatora uses PK Starstorm every round, healing when necessary. Duster uses the Tickle Feather once, then he and Boney use standard attacks and combos. Unfortunately, Porky is sneaky with setting up his Psycho-Counter, so my party gets hit a couple of times by its own PSI attacks.

At the end of the battle, Pokey enters his Absolutely Safe Capsule, and is impervious to all damage...but he can't attack.

@2luigifan1 He does. Consensus is that it was put added by the character artist for M&L:BiS/M&LRPG3 as a homage to this game, though more than likely it was just to give him personality, since Midbus is supposed to be a boar anyway.

@89Benek The character's name as used in the fan translation (as well as his official name in the Japanese version of Mother 2) is Porky, therefore I am now calling him Porky. When I uploaded this video 3 years ago I was calling him Pokey as the fan translation hadn't begun yet.

Heh. Everything bad that happens in this game, and alot of in the second, happens because of this fat bastard.

I can't think of any better punishment for Pokey than a truly Eternal prison.

He wanted to live forever. Now, he will.

And he'll never be able to do anything else ever. Just timeless infinity, only capable of observing. His psyche would cannibalise itself in short time, leaving him untill the ends of time itself before.... who knows.

@Xunkun Really? Ive gotta say I really do feel bad for Porky in one sense. It wasnt all his fault this happened. His parents were very abusive to him. Making him act the way he is. Not only that but when giygas came along he's the one who influenced Porky to do everything. I think his perfect end would be death. Living in eternal prisonment is A little dark. Even for Porky.
