sometimes when you think of slater and you thing of him as "just" a mechanical surfer winning 10 titles through sheer graft and work ethic.. then you see these evolution videos and realise he is a level above! he is not a machine perfect surfer, the lip ride at the start of this video an this ride in tahiti point o the fact that he is the best ever. id welcome any informed, well thought debate on that? although maybe the youtube comment section aint the best place to explore this...
