Can anyone please tell me how much amperage is needed to operate this radio mounted as a base ?

Like to see video posted to show the frequency mod exspansion done and which potentiometers are for what adjustments.
Is there any differences with the top gun modulator on with ssb, I've heard different stories, so not sure. Looking to get one soon.

i enjoy 10 meter radios this is a nice newer unit , especially the duel mic ports i would like to mod my 6300f turbo "rci" with that feature ,great video also and yes it would be nice to HEAR the receive audio,keep up the pro work

cbmag, how is this on SSB? Does it Drift at all? Thanks

@radioguy67 - There is some drift but it's about the same as the original S-9 and only requires minor adjustments during warm up. Once it reaches it's operating temperature it's pretty stable. The RCI-2950DX and Magnum 257 still have a leg up in frequency stability but for most people using the S9 SSB stability won't be a huge issue.
