  • was it easy to take the compressor apart? I have one that looks almost exactly like the main one in the video there. but the problem with mine is that i unloosened every bolt on it, but it still won't come apart. i think the factory used some kind of cement glue on it so it wouldn't fall apart easily. anyway, this thing is a real pain unless i can get it apart.

  • @downydownes11 the problem your having is your gaskets are just all stuck together you might have to hammer in a small screw driver on the edge to you can get them to sperate

  • by any chance would anyone know how dificult it would be to convert an aircompressor pump into a unleaded fuel engine?

  • @bloodynikka1 sorry but it would an absolute waste of your time and money and the bottom engine of the compressor wouldnt hold up to the rpms

  • Excellent video!!!!! I have a 60 gallon compressor with a 5 hp. motor that I bought at a garage sale for 50 bucks it works good for little jobs like filling up tires but when I use an air tool I only get about 30-45 seconds of good pressure then the motor kicks on and I have to wait for the tank to fill up again, is this normal for this type of compressor or is something not set right...? I just feel I should be getting better performance from this air compressor....thanks

  • @bloozeman100 it all depends on what CFM your air compressor is rated at, and at what CFM your air tool is using

  • Thanks AllenTrucks. Just today i tried what you said and it didn't work. Anyway, I got a funny idea that throwing the compressor in the grass would work by loosening the pistons inside. I had nothing to lose so I tried it. A couple of throws later, the wheel on the front of the compressor started spinning. Then I noticed the pistons were working too. SUCCESS!!! You can see my video now. type in "1930's Lehigh Manufacturing Co. Compressor & Motor

  • i have several devilbiss finish line hvlp paints guns and other air tools, whats the average cfm i'll need if my largest cfm air tools is 18 cfm and i'll only use one thing at a time and how many hp will i need?

  • @MisterrJOVI one with a small tank will have to turn on more often to fill the tank, one with a big tank will turn on less often because it has more stored air and there is other stuff that has to do with how fast a compressor pump compresses the air but that gets really complicated

  • I have a question. How come theres different gallons of air compressor and with different gallons of air compressor does that mean it will run out of air eventually and need refill? I don't know I'm confused about that.
