@farmtruck551 OK thank you. i am making an amateur script for a movie that would take place in Brooklyn with the FDNY out of a fictional station and i know that the response system is different there than it is where i am from. This really helps.

@LCEUclan also, units can ask for a read out of information if there computer isnt working

@LCEUclan the house tone will go off and an automated male voice will annoce "engine, ladder, battalion" or just "engine" depending on what rigs from that house need to go. there will be a print out of the incident info in the watch and the watch person decides what he/she wants to read over the stations PA system, also, the call information shows up on the computers in the rigs. approx 60 seconds later the dispatcher will give address, box #, and incident type, and response type.
I like how you ended the video with the zoomin on the FDNY Logo. quick question, when the rigs are dispatched out from the station does the dispatcher say all the rigs that need to respond or just the ones at the station's individually. like say there is a box alarm and it needed 4 engines and 2 truck companies would it sound like "Eng 8, Eng 9, Eng 10, Ladder 2..." and so on or would it just call out Engine 8 and ladder 2 and then call the other stations separately

@LCEUclan The "ONLY" time they would announce individual units is when the units are on the street, and being notified ... Example= Manhattan attention the following companies .. E's 8, 23, 54 - LCo's 2, 4 - Batt 8 respond phone alarm Box 0822 - 46st. between 5th. & 6th. Ave. for a reported fire in a commercial building ... and then each unit would called to verify receiving the call .. They would also get a ticket for the box on their M.D.T.
