the stuff they got away with even back then. if you watch the earlier shorts some have inuendoes and adult related humor. for example in the short Dizzy Pilots Larry asks Moe and Curly "Hey, you guys going steady?"

and in yes we have no bonanza Curly says Jack ass (to the donkey of course.) in uncivil warriors Curly tells a joke, 3 men in 3 beds, how'd they keep warm,they turned on the heat. in hoi pilio curly spells cat, and says Pussy. Talk about getting crap past the radar.
