@simonking195 Firstly. To cleave something in two isn't smashing it really though is it? Secondly. You quite clearly wrote "Smash your nerdy heads off" my emphasis being on the final word... "off" If you cut someone's head off, then you've cut it. If you need something to smash a head off, you need something considerably heavier than a gladius, and probably moving faster than a human arm can take it :)
Finally, I'm not a larper, and if you don't like larp, watch something else :)

@cameraguy37 sorry i forgot you cant do "larp-crush attack" with a sword.. you need a maul.. i can guarantee you if you did a full strength swing at your cranium, it would crack in 2 there for .. smashed.

@simonking195 You don't smash heads off with a gladius... Also, whilst Larping may be less 'cool' than football or baseball, there's a lot more mental agility required, the use of both logic and creativity to enjoy yourself. It's like playing a video game, except you play your own role in your own storyline you contribute to. So sure, it might be nerdy. But I've no doubt that 90% of Larpers at least are smart enough to know you don't smash heads with a gladius.

Hi cookie ,
We use a fantasy combat system ....what that does is give everyone the chance to play a herioc warrior even if they are not naturally gifted as a combatant.A realistic one hit per location combat system we use for our festival events.
