A few highlights of animator/writer/director Ralph Bakshi discussing his experiences making WIZARDS after the screening Jan. 18th at Alamo Ritz, sponsored by the Austin School of Film. (posted by vid/ed Anne Heller)
@KoolDudester Oh yes! I was at this screening. What happened was, Lars (the guy with the long hair and beard on the left who was conducting the Q&A's) asked Mr. Bakshi about the accusations of racism that COONSKIN received upon release, a question which Bakshi misheard. He thought Lars was accusing his film of being racist - at which point he became extremely angry, told Lars to go Fuck Himself and stormed off the stage and out of the theatre. Quite painful to watch in person.
Facinating to see him speak. Thanks

Anyone know how to get hold of Ralph Bakshi? He is another person who I would love to have contribute to the Vilnius Jewish Library.
