Holder: Closing Gitmo Will Be Challenging

Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday that the prison at Guantanamo Bay is a well-run facility, that will be a challenge to close. Holder recently visited Gitmo, where he said he did not witness any mistreatment of prisoners. (Feb. 26)

the prisoner's at Gitmo were part of the international terrorist movement of Al Queada.trained on Afghani soil for international terrorism under the leadership of the outlawed Taliban who turned a blind eye to their activities. They should be sent back to to Afghan where it all began under the jurisdiction of our troops and tried by their govt (much like Saddam Husseun) To try them on American soil is foolish & dangerous.

WASHINGTON (AP) Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, formerly Gitmo prisoner No.08, was among 13 Afghan prisoners released to the Afghan government .He is now known as Mullah Abdullah Zakir, who is in charge of operations in southern Afghanistan.

Rasoul is the latest example of a freed detainee who took a militant leadership role and has joined a growing faction of former Gitmo prisoners who have rejoined militant groups and taken action. As many as 60 former detainees have resurfaced on battlefields.

What I want to see is the wisdom to keep this open until our military can handle this. We declared war on the terrorists, and that was world-wide. The civilian world and justice system has no - I repeat - NO business in this. It is stupid and unsafe. The military should be allowed to handle those issues and people.
