The album title takes its name from the fact that Chet recorded it in Hollywood. The lush string arrangements are by Dennis Farnon. Chet later (in 1961) re-recorded this album in his home studio, using the orchestra tapes from the Hollywood session. The original LP lists Chet as the producer, the 1961 re-issue lists "... with Dennis Farnon and his orchestra" and also lists Dick Peirce as producer.
I sure Liked dem TIG OL BITTIES TOO! :-)

Dave here. First heard Chet's playing as background for a light, summer TV program, starring Jessica Tandy & her hubby, Hume Cronyn, back in the mid-to-late 1950's. Segments of "Dance of the Goldenrod," I think, were played during scene changes. Whatever the exact song title, it was a perfect complement to the story of a family staying at a beach house for the summer. To quote an old saying, "Hijinx ensued." );- )
