This is video from the Redhook Scratch Trios league at Kenmore Lanes in Kenmore, WA from October 26, 2006. I had one of my highest 3-game sets for the season this night as I went 255-237-224 for a 716.

The video features my first two games of the evening and also the complete last game for my team as we combined for a then league-record 749 team game!

Featuring: Tim Watanabe, Steve Wilson and local bowling stud Brendan Pecht.

This is one of the most competitive leagues in the Greater Seattle area and we meet Thursday nights at 7:00. If you live nearby and want some intense competition come join us next season!

Here is the equipment we were using:

Tim: Track Robo Rule 16 lbs, pin out 3.5 from PAP, drilled medium
Steve: Brunswick Raging Inferno
Brendan: Brunswick Raging Red Fuze

  • nice rollin. whats the oil pattern????

  • A really, really easy 40 foot house pattern. Flood in the middle between the 15s (3rd arrow) and tapered out to about the 5 board. Play around second arrow and you have all the tug room in the world! I've bowled on all the house shots in the greater Seattle area and this one was probably the highest-scoring (next to Leilani Lanes in Seattle when it was still around). Thanks for the compliment though!

  • what kind of are those

  • The pins are AMF AMFlite II, 3 pounds 6 ounces. Being on the lighter side, they fly like crazy.

  • why curl it so much? if it was me id try to hit the pins as hard as possible

  • Because in bowling, the "curl" or hook that you put on the ball equates to power. If you could physically throw the ball 100mph straight at the pins that would not help you get strikes. You need to set off a chain reaction of pins falling in order to consistently throw strikes, which is done by having the ball hook into the "pocket" which is the area between the 1 and 3 pins for a righthander. The more powerful the "curl," the more the pins fly around and into each other, creating more strikes.

  • ur style is kind of like walter rays but you let the ball go differently good video :)

  • on 3rd game was tim like upset?

  • @lionking300 more hook does not mean more power

  • from what i have seen in many bowling leagues is that they have a large backswing and most are power bowlers

  • I just recently got into bowling, & I played better than I thought I would. This guy is good!

  • they are winsome pins
