My second suggestion: learn to control your thoughts. A part of the plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has given us is that we were sent here to be tested. Therefore, there will always be temptations. Our work as Latter-day Saints is to keep the commandments of God, in spite of the temptations that Satan sends our way

You must be joking? This was a talk recorded at BYU by one of your apostles Mark E. Petersen. No fabrication whatsoever. Go research it i you don't believe me. Now you're the one who is distorting by trying to lie your way out of this.

the paper you quote is FABRICATED. More than likely a Mark Hoffman forgery.
discovered ONE day by an ANTImormon and never heard of before that.
I have noticed the BEST way to tear down the LDS Church is to quote nefarious sources.

Keeping in mind that I joined the military at the age of 23 and retired from the Navy after 20 years of dedicated service on 31 March 2001. While this may not be considered scripture this is certainly a part of LDS doctrine. I'm sure you would agree that a prophet would not lead the church astray by teaching false doctrine right? Elder Peterson was making a bold statement about the journey of a Negro to the the celestial kingdom without the priesthood.

I had learned that we must always pray in the name of Jesus Christ. But something I had seen and heard had taught me that those words were more than a formality. There was a picture of the Savior on the bedroom wall where my mother was bedridden in the years before she died
