This cat may have bitten off more than it could chew! These shiny black birds probably looked a lot smaller (and tastier) from the ground. However, once this cat got up the tree to have a closer look he realized that they were not only as large as he was, but they also weren't in the mood to be eaten! XD The tables quickly turned and the cat found himself in a scary situation with a need to make a careful retreat. Will someone get eaten? Watch this raw video footage and find out!

  • What is fascinating is the behavior of #1 bird. Ravens are smart problem-solvers with odd behaviors (a "murder of crows"...they stand around a dead comrade). That bird knew enough about cats to know he was in the "catbird" seat. Fascinating.

  • A lot of viewers were probably disappointed that there wasn't any physical contact in this one, but there was still plenty going on - I felt like the raven was trying to get close enough to taunt the cat into a jumping attack and potential fall. Clever indeed! I once saw a lone injured raven tumble to the ground after a bungled tree landing. Within 5 minutes his alarm calls brought 100+ noisy agitated buddies to his aid from out of nowhere. Definitely some brainwork and kinship there! =)

  • Run awayyyyyyy!!

  • Yea - that cat had the right idea in this case... live to eat bird another day :-)

  • :D

    They're probably swearing,threatening :D

  • I would love to have a cat and bird translator for this one! :-)

  • No doubt this cat was probably on real trouble here, and only realized it after it was too late! Good thing all ended well for everyone =) Thanks for checking it out!

  • After the poor cat starts to retreat it sounds like the crows start saying "HAH-HAH-HAH" I have a jet black cat that sits in a screened window that has trees outside, the crows come and caw at him and he chatters back....lucky for him the screen is there. Ravens are no joke, look at the feather manes on them...lions of the air. :)

  • I see a cat attack and lose out against a baby crow; pussies all of em when it comes to it.

  • Fortunately, this cat survived the lesson! :-) Thanks for stopping by!

  • we all learn with patience

  • They are surprisingly big - even when just standing on the ground :-) Thanks for checking it out!

  • Yea, it is an unusual turn of the tables but in this case I think the cat did indeed make the best choice! :-)

  • This is the first time I ever saw a cat running away from birds haha ;)

    Wise cat!

    Great footage JC!
