Now that's a soothing voice....Almost fell into a deep dream.

@zacharron - appreciate the flag. 9 or 11 in most folk parlance is an "add9" or "add11" - you're totally right, of course about the full dominant chords Edom9 vs Eadd9, etc. I'll stand by the Minor/major sus explanation - because you can have the 3rd as well as the sustained 2 or 4, and in context with other chords, even without the 3rd, the major/minor is still implied.

reminding me at jack black :D

@zacharron Could've sworn I saw long nails on his hands. I've seen him live a couple times, but I guess you've had the chance to open for him, so I'm sure you know much more about it than I do!

Um, you got the theory on chord construction all wrong. Major/Minor/Dominant 9th, 11th and 13th chords must also have the 7th in them, otherwise they are simply the chord with the added tone (Cadd9 for example). And suspended chords don't have a major/minor designation, as the 2nd or 4th is the same when built from either a major or minor scale. Thus, Asus2 is just Asus2, not Aminor (sus 2). Not trying to dog you, just thought the people watching this lesson should get the right info.

@dann3th3manni3 Tommy Emmanuel play with no nails. Only hardened calouses on his right hand fingers from playing 8 hours a day his whole life.

@ellis0896 Haha, if you're serious about the guitar you'll get over it. Most people don't seem to notice, anyways.
-
@dann3th3manni3 yeah i know that people grow there nails, just i would be self concious about them because it seems unnatural for men to have long nails
