Nick Drake was a British musician from the early 70's. He did't receive much public attention until the 80's. He played the guitar, the piano, the clarinet and the saxophone. He released three albums, "FIve Leaves Left", "Bryter Layter" and "Pink Moon", the latter is from where this song comes from. Whereas the two firsts records collected many different instruments and had complex arrangements, this album features only a guitar and his voice (and a dubbed piano for the title track), he recorded it at his home at two midnights, this recording lasting for 4 hours. The lyrics of this album are hard to understand, they deal with different subjects from observation (road) to growing old (place to be) and social problems (parasite). He is the only artist having all his discography in the Rolling Stone's "500 greatests albums of all time", and it is a must if you like guitars. He has been quoted as a reference for the Cure and REM guitarists
I have included here "Horn" and "Thing behind the sun", I reckon it doesn't make sense one song without the other. As far as I know, they are the only two songs that were played using a regular guitar tuning. When I know how to play this song properly without performance mistakes and with an improved sound quality I will be reposting it again, by now consider it as a tribute.
well, this was posted 3 years ago. :/ i noticed u wrote that these are only songs in standard tuning but here are some more: time has told me, river man, day is done, poor boy, joey, mayfair, strange meeting II, bird flew by, leaving me behind. cheers ;)

Hi ! It's original to try this song with an electric guitar. I like your version. Beautiful intro with Horn.
