Somehow Ryoma watched how the business competitors played mahjong and remained cordial to one another despite of the cut-throat business competition. They realized that they should coexist because they need one another for survival as a whole,. Ryoma borrowed this concept and applied to the regional samurai clans. A united Japan is a strong Japan. That's the way he saw it and he spread the gospel to the rest of Japan. Very smart. That's just my humble opinion.

Can you put the scene where Izo was trying to assassinate Katsu but ended up getting confused by Ryoma and Katsu-sensei?
