Dumb question but is the speedometer and hr monitor built into the camera or are you adding it later. It really does give a better feel for headcam stuff to see the speed and effort happening because its not always obvious on headcam shots. Which camera?

That data comes from my Garmin Edge 500 GPS and I overlay it onto the video using DashWare from Dashware.net. The camera's a Contour HD1080, shooting at 60fps in 720p resolution. The 60fps framerate reduces the "rolling shutter" effect that makes videos look like Jell-O.

After getting the video and speed/HR synchronized in Dashware, I render the full-length race video, then use a video-editing program to cut it down to just the interesting parts, add commentary, and upload.

Excellent vid. Love the way the bike keeps watching at the end like some dog. But you really shouldn't stop so much if you want better than third!
