"While viewing this video, I want you to see what I see. When you first see Jon, you see a young man in a wheelchair - limited and somewhat dependent. Once he gets in the pool, he is free. In the water, he actually looks no different from his friends. What's missing? It's his chair.
His face says it all. That smile is broad, and he is happy and loving life. This is the interaction he needs. This activity brings him to life.
Jon will be disabled for life. But together, let's give him the opportunity to leave the chair behind and forget that he is, even if it's only for an afternoon in a swimming pool.
An accessible pool would allow him the opportunity for more social interaction and help him become a healthier young man. Any donations towards this effort would be greatly appreciated.
