The only thing I've read by him is "Bright Lights, Big City", years ago. Kind of forgot about him, but I definitely want to check out his newer stuff now. It's funny, but I always assumed he was from Bucks County, outside Philadelphia, because, if memory serves, that's where the narrator in BC, BC says his family is from.

interesting to see him looking so old, after Bright Lights. . . he eased out of the spotlight, and I lost track, not realizing his writing was so prolific. i was under the impression he took a back seat to his contemporaries like Bret Ellis, and some newer youngster writers. . . i am glad to hear i have some catching up to do. I would like to see another movie version of Bright Lights, as MJFox's performance was good, but did no justice to the narrative. . .
