@Cyndrakkos You don't let a turtle loose in the house all the time like a dog. You give them a tank or a pond and you can let them free in the house sometimes.

from Sheba's owner: One thing we have in our area is "hard water", so she has had calcium stains on her shell her whole life. Occasionally her shell peels, and her shell really is healthy underneath.

dude that shell is freaky lookin! lol. but that turtle is cool! mine is smart too. i have a giant tank and she once climbed out oftank and used the filter to climb and the wall. it was crazy. shes huge! well not HUGE but the size of a dinner plate. lol.

She gets plenty of love & attention. Sheba is a member of my family. And since I am allergic to dogs & cats, she makes the perfect pet for me. :) And I don't think of her as an "it" especially since I have confirmed that Sheba is (in fact) a girl. :)
