I wanted to practise organic modelling in just 3ds max. NO MUDBOX OR ZBRUSH, so in my opinion i could have done a better job on the features if id sculpted a high poly version in mudbox... but my Uni doesnt like digital sculpting, so practice with max is needed :P
Soooo I decided to do an asari head, since ive just played through ME1 and 2 and am now hooked. (Why havent i played these games before??? KotOR meets Gears of War! Awesome)
Just over 2k polys, but the wire here is showing the meshsmooth subD, so more high poly than it actually is. Ive now rigged her up and am half way through morphtargets - so i may do an animation later with lip sync and start work on a suit of armour for her. I dunno, see how i feel if i have spare time.

@Alusaint I think I have but gave up because of the tedious work that goes into modeling. I might try it again though, thanks

@Eddievedda1 I've got a program called unwrap3d which helps alot, but its quite hard for me to do the texture part, which is what I need help with. :/

can I ask you how you normally texture characters ? I've been trying to learn do it with unnwrap and then paint it on through GIMP, but the seams just be make it impossible to place things well, any tips? I'm fairly good at modeling but texturingis yet a mystery to me

@MaMastoast Il do a quick video guide tonight on unwrapping my way. use this head as an example ... may not have sound :P its a learning curve unwrapping, but easy enough once you get into it. :)
