  • @Trinivalist I am not saying that a lot of foreignors, black, white, Indian, Chinese do not come to play mas, but this band stands out because there is the usual prejudice thing with this band in particular. Another factor with so many people who live abroad and marrying outsiders, they bring back their spouses, etc., to play mas.

  • @Trinivalist I am not sure if you are a Trinidadian or foreignor. The Trinidad so-called whites and light coloured people have always played in Hart's band. Believe it or not most of those people are Trinidadians who live there or who come back home from all over the world for Carnival. If you went to Trinidad and looked seriously at the population of the bands you will not see many like this. This has been going on for generations. We also have a lot of Venezuelan studying in T&T.

  • actually, everyone has the choice to choose whatever band they want to play in, and i know that ppl rather rush for bands like Tribe, Bliss, Yuma etc. giving the other ppl who are living abroad no chance of getting in....not to mention this "elitist" mentality that has spawned from the bands (you have to know somebody to get in)...not everyone has time for that kind of bacchanal at the end of it all.

  • wow i didnt know that i need to know more about it

  • @Muteki856 wow... thank you. You're right. Apparently women are taking over the bands now... and forgetting that all the winin used to be a protest against what the slave masters had done during slavery. How easily we forget. Why are there not more African and Indian descended people in that band. Don't worry, soon Trinidad will lose it's Carnival to people outside of Trinidad.

  • Sadly most of the Queens of the bad are so beautiful! Though they look like local venezuelans! Sweeties stop ruining your carnivals by dancing with yourselves and obsessing yourselfs with the camera! This isnt the playboy network! Come'on thats the kinda shit, thats gonna make carnival wack! Queens of the band don't participate in the rest of the carnival! And yeah its mostly thoughs that live or moved to trinidad recently witnessed carnival and thought it was an apportunity to show off
