Now drive with it.
I dare you.

ahh u had built up boost for a split second… NO TRUE test there… Take it on the road and hit boost thru a few gears and let the engine bay heat up and then see if that PVC pipe will hold…

@JTH6990 Its just easier to mount the gauges on your hood since all the wires, sensors, and hoses that you need to hook up the gauges are comeing from the engine bay so no its not there to be tacky.
-
can someone tell me why his gauges are on the outside of his car? I saw someone with the same setup a few days ago and couldn't understand why it is like that.

PVC is thin walled and will buckle under heat after a while. Get pressure pipe, its still pvc material but its 4mm walled and is designed to be run in mains water and air. Out workshop air system uses it at 150PSI and its fine. I run it on my Turbo Patrol at 15 PSI and ive never had a problem.
-
dose the pvc go up to the turbo itself?

Ive tried this on my 1JZGTE powered Commodore track car. The hot side kept blowing out of the silicone joiners as it started to deform under the pressure and heat, however the cold side after the intercooler performed excellently. Its a great idea if you need something to use as a template for reproducing in steel but as a viable cheaper alternative it doesnt work, and I was so sure that it would.
