  • But purling is sooo easy!!!!

Just bring the yarn to the front and stick the needle in the top of the loop twoards you and wrap around and pull out as normal.

  • Yep, usually I just purl, but on some projects where you have to turn the work frequently, this is a handy technique to save time. I've never gotten as good at knitting back backwards as at purling, though, because I don't do it very often.

  • It just takes practice. By the end of one entrelac stole, you'll be knitting backwards all the time! I hardly ever purl any more. This is also a great technique for short rows, or narrow stockinette scarves, any project that requires lots of turning. And it can help you keep some complicated patterns straight in your head, too. You can lose your place if you're turning your work all the time.

  • Very useful technique.. thank you so much :-D

  • Its like the same only the sticks are reversed!!

  • uuhhh...o.O
