David Taub is the man... I have been taking his video lessons fro next level for about two monthes and it is very helpful. I never knew what to practice or what to stress on and David explains all of that stuff. It is a layed out plan that help you get better and to do it the right way. The web site also offers good written lessons with diagrams as well as a chord library. Next level guitar kicks ass!! Rock on

24??? To late??? I started at age 39 and it only took a couple months watching David's videos and I was playing songs and having a great time. I've now been playing for about a year and a half and I'm cranking out all kinds of music. David's right.. "You can do it"

this is such good advice, everything he's saying is dead on. Anyone who wants to play music listen to this man!

3:18 lmao! that sounds like me sometimes

a les paul and a melody maker, are two different guitars.

start with an acoustic, the tighter strings help strengthen your fingers really fast. once you've been playing for a few months get an electric. you're going to want to go to a guitar center and try different ones. his guitar might not work for what you need. it mostly depends on the genre you're going to be playing and your price range. tell someone at guitar center those two things, and they'll help you find something that fits you. hope this helped :)

man if you got the money for a gibson go for it. i have an epiphone sg with emg's, it rocks and it plays better than my jacksons. got it for 300 euros. if you don't want to spend on a gibson go for a good epiphone.

i know you prolly don't give a damn about what i have to say, but a gibson sg or a fender starcaster would be a really good choice for beginners. i have a fender strat. its a really good gutiar, but i am getting a bc rich warlock soon. it all depends on your taste of music. o and get some effect pedals. if you like metal and fuzz get a boss mt 2 metal zone.

once you learn some really good chords and songs...you can instanly know what to listen for in songs. its really easy. just play some more and get used to the sounds.
i just feel sad that its too late for me to learn to play the guitar. Im 24 and can't absorb the playing technique or develop speed as a 13, or 14 year old kid would. This guy has very good skills with the guitar, both theory and practice i saw his other vids and he can shred. Its really hard learning to play at a late age and as an instrument its really difficult to play it unless you developed natural reflexes over time.

YOu can do it - its never too late to learn to play and reap the rewards of playing music - you can do it! Dont give up - go after your dreams and dont let anyone tell you that you cant. Take care and best of luck.
