Roger Corman on InnerVIEWS with Ernie Manouse

Roger Corman rejects the moniker "King of B Movies", preferring instead to be thought of as the most fiscally responsible producer working today.  He shot the original "Little Shop of Horrors" in just 2 days. He is recognized for his stellar track record of giving that first 'big break' to future film superstars--- such as directors Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and James Cameron; and actors like Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Robert De Niro.  Corman is credited with producing nearly 400 films, including Death Race 2000, Frankenstein Unbound & Sharktopus. hollywood is obsessed with eternal youth, with most of today's movies aimed at dumb teens, though some lucky elderly actors like nicholson and mike douglas still getting paid a fortune (and having 20ish women for co-stars)

and then there's demi moore, drinking red bulls and inhaling laughing gas!

@diuga1 I'm an old geezer myself, with a cat that's getting close to 22 years.

5 months ago i was probably thinking of old geezer Nicholson getting paid 10 million dollars for the flop movie, HOW DO YOU KNOW----as though kids today rush to some Jack Nicholson movie.

(Reading, PA, where daniel boone was born, and now one of the top 30 violent cities in usa, did have the happy ending, a few days ago, of a 65 year old on a bike, kicked to the ground by 3 teens, killing one with his pistol.)
