Figured I'd get back to doing another LP, and why not do what I believe to be the worst game of the Game Boy series, and just one of the worst games of the classic series overall? Eh... While I do dislike this game in comparison to the others in the series, it is by no means a bad standalone game. Believe me, there's far worse out there.

Anyway, part 1 has me taking on Air Man and Clash Man. Not much else to say.

Oh, in case you're wondering about "Lorem Ipsumming", Lorem Ipsum refers to a block of text used by web designers and other professionals just to take up space until the real content is added. It's filler text; just like the cloud at the beginning. Just wanted to clear that bit up.

  • Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay you're back :D btw how did you record this? With Fraps? If so, then I need help, for I've been trying to record emulators but it glitches out every time :)

  • @PyroManic825 I use Visual Boy Advance's movie recorder, then play it back while recording the AVI, then I use VirtualDub to compress the AVI and make sure the audio and video are in sync. It's a bit more effort than just using something like Hypercam, but the quality speaks for itself!

  • I must be one of the few people on the planet that actually likes the music from this game. In fact, I actually like this game's rendition of Air Man's theme more than the NES game's. The only thing is that the instrumentation is a little strange, and said instruments cause some of the high notes to possibly be jarring to some, but I'd say the compositions themselves are pretty solid. Maybe if the instruments for the game weren't so weird, more people would be able to appreciate these tunes.

  • @tuxedomoroboshi That's pretty much what I think, too. I appreciate the fact that they tried something different, but the weird instrumentation really puts a damper on the experience.

  • @SchlossRitter I don't think Mega Man 3 was a rush job at all. It was incomplete, since there was a lot more than Inafune and his team wanted to do with it (and at one point, they lost pretty much all the work they had on Top Man and had to redo him in a short amount of time). Mega Man 3 is a game that could have been a lot more, but for what it is, it still offered a LOT, and definitely more than its predecessors.

  • This game had such potential, drawing from the two best games on the NES. Such a waste in how it turned out.

MM3 was a rush job? Pretty well done for a rush job, as it's my favorite.

  • I can't believe the Moby Games reviews gave it a passing grade. I mean 3.5 out of 5 is surprising. Check it out, the music and sound fx was voted the worst category. Thank goodness that wasn't on the Anniversary Collection for the GameCube/PS2/XBOX
