Quick tutorial on how a CFL, a cheap extension cord, a socket adapter, and a lightstand and photographic umbrella can be used for video lighting.

  • man, i can't find that socket adapter anywhere?? not at home depot or lowes, not even online!! you haz rare adapter!!!

  • @whynostop I'll find the item # from Lowe's and then I'll post it here. They have them for sure, I bought mine there.

  • I've been doing cheap DIY lighting for video with CFL for a few months now, but I never thought to bounce it off an umbrella. It seems to give off a bit more of a diffused light. Thanks for the tip.

  • @bchristian7 Thanks! Glad you liked the tip! I really like the look of the diffused light personally.
