After graduation ceremony at the Memorial Chapel. 2009 Civil Air Patrol, Airforce Auxiliary - Honor Guardsmen presented in the court yard of McDaniel College-Westminister, MD. First year cadet, Austin Balarin is 2nd to the left row formation.
I know a guy from our squadron that is going in 2012, so if any of the people who see this comment get in a flight Morgan Joslin, I KNOW HIM, just as a hint, he likes bacon.
I was a CAP cadet from 1988-1993, New Mexico Wing. We didn't have any cadet activities called 'National CAP Honor Guard Academy'. This one looks like it would've been fun. In fact, our first-ever Wing Color Guard Competition was held in March,1991. And our squadron was the only that fielded an armed color guard, and we were told that armed color guards were not authorized by the Wing Commander, which sucked because we had beautiful M1903's on loan from Kirtland Air Force Base Honor Guard.
I did this academy in 2010 it was so much fun. All the tears as we all left for the airport after 2 weeks of yelling at 9-13 hours of standing. They brought in Mary Feik which was cool.
