Occupy Wall Street - NYPD clash - October 14th, 2011

This is some of the footage surrounding the protester clash. Basically, the cops were against protesters being in the streets. And the protesters felt a right to the streets. The clashes came when the police forced protesters to take the sidewalks. The police ran their motorcycles into masses of people standing facing them, but rarely arrested protesters unless provoked. Once provoked slightly, they jumped quickly. Women police were rarely aggressive, and neither were minorities. That's a generalization, but it's what I saw.

I stand for everything that occupy stands for but to put blame on the cops in this case seems very silly. I Doubt that this was done intentionally. If it was, this was a VERY shitty way to Maintain peace. It was an accident. I saw other videos; the bike WAS moving fast into the crowd but it honked twice. The driver was trying to get through. The other video did NOT have this mans loud howling that seems to tear at your pathos.

The man will walk another day.

Cops should use tear gas to clear the area so it can be sanitized & returned 2 order. The air reeks of urine & pot. The only thing protesters accomplish is annoying people who have brains & work hard, & disrupting the normal flow of life by calling attention to themselves. If they truly want to make changes, they should research proper channels to alter laws & request info from senators & other public officials that can be brought to public awareness & challenged. Cops are only doing their jobs.
