In March 2000, before his Gladiator Oscar win, Russell spoke at a screening of his film, before a bunch of us non-industry folks. He totally amazed us with his wit, kindness and charm. We will be forever in his debt for that night, when he gave of himself to his fans.

Hey, Mimo. Thanks for posting these again. A very good interview in which Russell appears so modest and even a bit shy in the presence of his peers. A different and perhaps more accurate view of the man. Very enjoyable.
