Two almost identical tenor ukuleles: Ohana TK-35G (without cutaway) and TK-35CG (with cutaway). One of them is fitted with Aquila strings and the other with medium Worth strings.

Which do you like best: the strings on the cutaway or the non-cutaway? I will publish the results on UU in a couple of weeks.

I just doodling about, but I did try to record similar stuff on each. The improv was rather longer than 10 minutes, so I took a chunk out of the middle.

I know that some of you will be able to recognise which strings are which. However, try to judge which strings sound best on these particular instruments, not on which strings you use most.

  • @BillEvans1956 It can be cosy, but it can also be very cold.
