I live in the country and use an aerobic system. For the past eight years I have had no problems, but recently I have had to change water pump on the third tank and now I am having a 3 inch pipe from the house changed to a 4 inch pipe to prevent clogging in the future. I have been told not to add anything to the system but I am curious if my family washes clothes and dishes everyday would the soaps be killing my bacteria and should I apply an additive. comments appreciated, thatks.
