i think those sections are actually fine played at the speed they are because it seems as if it's supposed to sound more 'pretty' and floaty than slow.

so did mine

La indicacion del compositor para este ultimo movimiento es: " Moderato assai ".

my school orchestra is playing the same piece it will be awesome loved it when i first heard it

Mmm i agree it ended quite abruptly. I was listening to this whilst conducting with the score and I still didn't see the end coming! I think it was down to lack of dynamic variety at the end. It should have been quite doft and then crescendoed to the final few strikes. Fine performance nonetheless. My school symphony orchestra did a performance of the entire Symphony No.2 "little Russian" last spring.

I think that the slower sections seemed a little rushed. and the ending couldve been a little move drawn out instead of ending so abruptly. But other than that, bravo. I loved playing this with the NEMC symphony orchestra this summer. (video is up) I hope I can play it again one day!

This piece rocks... I would love to play it again, this time with my school orchestra.

Can't believe that one lick before the Bass drums the violins all of them didn't use all down bows.... kind of disappointing......
I really enjoyed this version. I agree that the ending could have broadened out a little but it's the beginning where so many conductors make a mistake - they rush through the opening measures when, in fact, it's meant to sound imposing and impressive so when the violins come in with a cheeky little version of the same melody, it's actually funny! Thrilled to hear so many young people commenting here - please mention this to your conductors and good wishes to all of you.
