Nuclear Waste: Sweeping it under the Rug

The Nuclear Waste Management Organization or NWMO is meeting in Saskatoon. Attendance/participation is by invitation only, public is not welcome. The NWMO is looking for a host community favorable to accepting nuclear waste.

It was politics that made the choice of location for the Yucca Mountain Waste Repository in USA. It was politics that caused funding to cease under Obama. Now all of the Nuclear Waste in USA is looking for a home. We are afraid that Canadian efforts to find a home for waste will be followed by truckloads of American Waste entering our province, passing through our communities and being buried beneath our northern communities.
