*Please Read Before Watching*

The lyrics to the song are pretty much self-explanatory, but if you haven't heard the song before, it is about a little girl who is abused by a parent, and one night she is killed. I decided to make this video centered around Violet Baudelaire and Count Olaf because of Olaf's cruel and sadistic nature, along with the hopelessness the Baudelaires feel when they encounter him.

This video contains suggestions of abuse and death. If such things might offend you, please don't watch the video or leave comments.

The song is "Concrete Angel" as sung by Martina McBride, and movie clips are taken from "A Series of Unfortunate Events" and "The Phantom of the Opera."

Popular question: "How did you get Violet's name on the grave?"
Quite easily, really. I used a screenshot from The Phantom of the Opera, put it into Microsoft Paint, changed the name by hand, and added the image to the video with a 'zoom' effect.

  • How did you get the video on 0.52 - 0.57?

It's in the DVD but I can't extract it :S

(I'm sorry for my english, I'm spanish)

  • I used the Magic DVD Ripper program, and used it to get the movie itself and all of the extras on my computer.

  • That was very sad BUT VERY VERY GOOD! When I try uploading videos it doesn't work. Even on Windows Movie Maker. It's very annoying. How do you get it to work? And also how do you get the clips? DO you have to download anything and if so, do you have to pay? Sorry about the questions lol. BUT VERY VERY GOOD VIDEO

  • Thanks! When you're using Windows Movie Maker, do you save the video to your computer first? On the task screen on the left side, under 3. Finish Movie, there should be an option to 'Save to my Computer. Always make sure that you do that when you're completeley finished. Then, when you upload as you browse, choose the movie file that you created when you saved to your computer. As to your other question, check your message box

  • Lovely, the whole thing was marvelous. Where did you get your inspiration?

  • Wow. Thank you very much. Well, I've always been a fan of the song and, of course, the story of the Baudelaires. So, one morning, I guess something just clicked in my mind to make the video. I sat down on the computer as soon as I thought of the idea, and I more or less completed the video in one sitting. It was one of those moments where I just had to keep working on it. I was in the moment, and ideas kept poring in. I'm very proud of this video, and I'm glad you liked it!
