  • This is probably my favorite song by Dead Can Dance, who is also my favorite band. In other words, this is most likely the most beautiful song I've ever heard in my life.

  • @malastrat These aren't lyrics, she's babbling, litterally! However, this tops anything from the top forty anyday!

  • from Wikipedia: "Wake is a compilation from previous albums of Dead Can Dance released in 2003. It contains 26 tracks on two discs. It includes the song “The Lotus Eaters” (previously released only on the Dead Can Dance (1981-1998) boxed set), which was recorded in 1998 as part of its new album, but it remained the last song recorded before the break-up of the band"

  • @87missonica not possible. It's Glossolalia which means speaking in tongues. it's completely mad up and improvised by the singer. which is cool cuz in case of this music, it maked the song way more mystic!!!

  • Es mi canción favorita. Tengo 17 y la escucho desde los 6 años.

  • @87missonica she ussualy speaks in her own language :) expresing the feeling insted of a specific message :)

  • @malastrat I'm afraid even Lisa & Brendan won't be able to tell you - that's generally the problem with the so called "singing in tongues" ;)

  • @malastrat This is a language of Lisa Gerrard's and hers alone, AKA "glossolalia". Google this term and it will make more sense.

  • My favorite song from the Dead Can Dance. Lisa Gerrard's voice is divine, similar to the movie soundtrack of Gladiator "Now we are free."

  • @87missonica Are you sure, that it is a language in common sense?

  • @87missonica As far as I know, it's glossolalia. Doesn't mean anything at all.

  • @87missonica There are no lyrics per se. Lisa Gerrard has been singing in idioglassia...
