@sjvan0 He was a Nazi Experiment who "fled" from East Germany after the war, but was actually a rogue Russian Spy.

I guess this is why Roger Moore didn't return as bond...

@sjvan0 Ha!

this is classic - walken = best bond enemy ever!!
-
@sjvan0 I know. To be believable it needs to be a glasses-wearing nerd from Albuquerque who moves up to redmond washington :)

Yeah he was just too old. I loved him though as Bond. He's pushing 90 now. He probably doesn't have too much time left. Bless his heart.

M laughing at the end with Gogol and Sir Gray is funny, considering how his irritation towards Bond is always shown in the movies. He even once made a humorous insinuation of being tempted to shoot Bond.

@sjvan0 Zorin wasn't a "nerd from the Silicon Valley", he was from Dresden, part of a Nazi experiment where pregnant women were injected with large amounts steroids. He's supposed to be some sort of Aryan superman, not a Bill Gates type of villain, and he didn't wear glasses the whole movie, just in a couple of scenes, and I think they're supposed to be sunglasses. He was originally an oil and gas tycoon, he got into microchips on orders from the KGB, to get them for their research.
Only thing I didn't like about this move was how unlikely the plot was. Who could possibly believe that a glasses-wearing nerd from Silicon Valley would become one of the richest men in the world and then try to wipe out his competition? I mean honestly.
:P
